Assistive Technology: Week 5

http://atassistivetech.blogspot.com/2008/12/week-5.html

There just isn't enough time to learn everything about every program. I did like working with Clicker 5, and can definitely see how it can be used differently for some different levels of writers who have a hard time with traditional pencil and paper writing. I am glad we had a chance to go discuss the final case study assignment, as I had some questions. The sample presentation we watched was really useful. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Assistive Technology 5163: September 2008

http://cathytayloredu5163.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 29, 2008. I received this video from a former colleague last week and thought that I would share it with you. It really doesn't have to do with the course but I thought that it was interesting for those of us without any visual impairments in that we might still not see things that are right there in front of us. Saturday, September 27, 2008. So here we are - the first class of the Assistive Technology course and we are already learning a lot! There are 14 different AT Categories:.

Assistive Technology 5163: Inspiration 8

http://cathytayloredu5163.blogspot.com/2008/12/inspiration-8.html

Monday, December 8, 2008. Today I got to play with Inspiration 8! It certainly was not the same instruction as I would have received in class but it was interesting. I can definitely appreciate how students become frustrated in class. Many a time I had use the undo button : ) Regardless, here is my creation about the writing process. Thanks to everyone who had already posted their creations as it helped me to see all of the steps/requirements! After creating this I then discovered there is a tutorial!

Assistive Technology 5163: DID YOU KNOW???

http://cathytayloredu5163.blogspot.com/2008/11/did-you-know.html

Tuesday, November 25, 2008. In top of that, I just learned from a co-worker that we have the older edition of Kurzweil (not the 3000) in our school. After telling her about all of the neat gadgets this program has to offer, I think that I convinced her that we are in need of the new program! Also, we don't have Start-to-Finish books in our school although we can get access to them if needed. November 30, 2008 at 1:03 PM. Tryst me - I feel your frustration! December 1, 2008 at 11:17 AM.

Developing Literacy Independence Through AT: Webquest

Developing Literacy Independence Through AT. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. I used my webquest this week and it was a success. I chose two children from my class to test it out. They did i at home with their parents guidance. They really liked the different activities. It's great that your students have engaging activities they can do at home, and that their parents won't need to hound them to do. Well done! November 28, 2008 at 2:18 PM. Assistive Technology 5163: The End

http://cathytayloredu5163.blogspot.com/2008/12/end.html

Sunday, December 14, 2008. Well here it is the end of our course. I learned so much from Barb as well as from the rest of you. I was truly enjoyable. I only wish I could take the second course but with the weather the way it is and getting up at 5:30. well I guess it won't be happening right now. I enjoyed everyone's case study and will certainly be looking into APSEA for "Daniel". I also wanted to include these 3 videos that Pam had in her case study - truly inspirational!
