Friday, June 13, 2008. Added to the List. Here are some pictures of the truck, this one isnt going to be a "Big Red" like my original 86. It is going to get the full treatment like the 55 with some lowering modifications and a few other tricks I have been researching. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. While many ideas are running through my head the only thing i have done so far is to purchase the truck. I found the truck here locally in Zeeland. It originally came from California. It appears to be in good condition even though it is missing the engine and drive train. Really that is not a problem as I have some engine and trans. ideas in mind. I dont think a lot of progress will be made until the 55 is closer to completion. . Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, June 12, 2008. I took the frame away to get sandblasted, revealing all of the beautiful welds that were done at the factory. Overall it came back in good shape, there are a few areas that will need to be repaired where water has collected and rusted through. Thursday, June 12, 2008. I was able to get the front clip lined up and welded into place, it was a tight fit but everything seemed to go smoothly. The only modification I made was that I notched out the bottom where the clip meets the frame by about 1 inch. This allows the A-frame a little more clearance on the top of the frame and lowers the ride height just a little bit more.
