The Robe of Glory | Northern Lace
https://northernlace.wordpress.com/2011/11/08/the-robe-of-glory
Fibre life in Orkney. Christmas at Shearer’s 2014. Follow Northern Lace on WordPress.com. The Robe of Glory. That is a very distinctive title! It isn’t something likely to have been made up. There is a book called The Hymn of the Robe of Glory,. A highly mystical and allegorical story from ancient Gnostic writings. But the one I am referring to concerns knitting in the Northern Isles! There are, however, connections. There is the same mystery, and some of the same symbolism. I have been asking Orcadians ...

Fizz Knits: August 2007
http://fizzknits.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Here's what I've been knitting. Friday, August 24, 2007. How quick was that? After posting the other day about where I was on the Ravelry waiting list, I got my invite this morning! Have only had a quick look but have found out already it only supports photos from Flickr at the moment, though there are plans to include other photo sites I think. It's a wee bit of a pain as I tend to use photobucket. And you have to make sure your pictures are marked as public on Flickr or it can't load them up. 150g Meri...

knitobsession: December 2005
http://knitobsession.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
The musings of an obsessive knitter and stash collector. View my complete profile. Update on the blanket. A couple of FOs. Saturday, December 31, 2005. The old year passes (soon anyway). I've changed the pattern for the Candies colourway in the Curious Yarns sock yarn, I didn't dislike it in plain stocking stitch, but I wasn't totally happy with it, so I've switched to this, two rows knit followed by 2 rows K2 P2, I'm surprising jazzed by how it's turning out, so much so I've done th eleg already! Tracks...

Fizz Knits: Felt Daft
http://fizzknits.blogspot.com/2012/01/felt-daft.html
Here's what I've been knitting. Thursday, January 12, 2012. I don't have a picture of my felted bag today but I do have a picture of another felted project. Two years ago I took part in an International Yarn Swap on Ravelry and received a lovely package from Norway. My New Years Resolution is to finish off any WIPs before I start any new ones, so this was an easy one to finish off as no knitting was required. After sewing it looked like this. Hat looks brilliant.as does little missy. Do you mind if I knit.

Jean from Cornwall: OK, so where's the nest?
http://jeanfromcornwall.blogspot.com/2014/08/ok-so-wheres-nest.html
Saturday, 30 August 2014. OK, so where's the nest? So now you have a rough idea of how wide a wasp's jaw is. I am assuming that the little beasties don't take harm from whatever chemical content there is in the paint they are stripping off with the wood. The Gladioli have been nice, but not very prolific. They are pretty much over now, but we have started getting flowers on some that we thought were not going to. Gardener thinks they are Afghan Gladis. I don't know but I like them. 30 August 2014 at 20:22.

Jean from Cornwall: March 2014
http://jeanfromcornwall.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 29 March 2014. A little dress and a new venture. A new dress for a little girl. This was a Swedish print that I ordered a couple of years ago, and it turned out to be much larger than I thought from the picture in the catalogue. So, now that she has grown some, I have been able to use it. The print was just perfect for self-covered buttons! Thursday, 13 March 2014. And then two from a print of wedding ring patchwork. It is fascinating how much variation can be produced working this way. So ...

Overachieving Knitter: December 2013
http://overachieveingknitter.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 5, 2013. I did finish seaming my first sweater, and the fronts are too small. I haven't figured out if I want to take the fronts out, frog 'em, and reknit in a bigger size, or jury-rig two more knitted pieces, or make really wide buttonbands. I'm leaning towards 1 or 2, with 2 in the lead atm. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What's Good at Trader Joe's? Trader Joe's Monsooned Malabar Coffee. With Summary and Rating). Overachieving Knitter: Finished Friday Pretty
http://overachieveingknitter.blogspot.com/2013/11/finished-friday-pretty.html
Thursday, November 7, 2013. So I got no sleep last night, for various reasons. Mostly pain. But I did manage to finish a project, so check out the finished Myrtle Leaf Scarf. This is it right off the needles. I debated blocking it because it does have a lovely texture unblocked. Even the wrong side looks cool. The next two pictures are the right and wrong side once I uncurled it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What's Good at Trader Joe's? Trader Joe's Monsooned Malabar Coffee. Sock A Month 14.

Overachieving Knitter: The Library Knitting Project
http://overachieveingknitter.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-library-knitting-project.html
Monday, October 21, 2013. The Library Knitting Project. I've been trying to come up with a good knitting goal for a while. I thought about working my way through a book, but I couldn't decide which one. And then I looked at my ravelry library, and it occurred to me. In the next few days I will sit down and make a book list, including marking off the ones I've already knit from and posting pictures of those projects. But to start. I just started these tonight. A kickass pair of socks. Sock A Month 14.
