http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Thursday, October 14, 2010. It's gorgeous here. The leaves are turning with ever-increasing momentum and the way the colors are climbing up the mountain, it feels like a VERY slow sunrise or something. We had a nice long rainstorm last night which always makes the treebark darker and the leaves even brighter. Next year will also bring either goats or chickens (maybe both? And a dog. But I'll get to that soon enough. Now to the updates. Wellllll, we FINALLY got...

Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm: May 2010
http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Monday, May 24, 2010. Shame, shame, shame.Y'all remember my name? I know, I know. I can hear you from here. Where the greasy biskits have I been? You already know. Remember? Whenever I'm tired or in a funk, I avoid. I haven't been so for an entire month, but it's not far off. Oh, don't worry, you didn't miss much of anything big. Here's the Reader's Digest version. Ryan got a haircut. I had those damn trees cut and got some sun on my garden. It rained a lot.

Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm: September 2010
http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Friday, September 3, 2010. In the interest of brevity (don't laugh, you don't believe I can be brief? You're probably right.), I'm going to tell you about August, but not necessarily in order. So, you remember I got my permit, right? Would I be burdened down with all of the unpacking and putting away to the point I would slack off on the PTA stuff I was supposed to be doing while refereeing my screaming children? She did it in a span of like two weeks! Lolo ki...

http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Friday, October 14, 2011. Not much nice to say. My friend Wooky came to visit last weekend. I wish he lived closer. We took him with us to the apple orchard (yep, it's apple butter-making time) and pumpkin patch. Here are the pictures. Visiting with the animals. Picking" apples out of the big bins (that's the EASY way to pick apples). Clowning around on the punkins. Sipping an apple cider slushie! Playin' in the hay maze. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Yeah, yeah, I know I blogged a seriously long one yesterday and if you haven't read it and wanna know about July, go ahead and back track. But today is August and I feel like I need to talk and you guys are so good at listening, lol, I figure you won't mind me coming in here and bugging you for a few minutes or so, right? The short answer is, "No.". I've done well so far. I read about other homesteaders. The really committed ones&#...

Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm: June 2010
http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Friday, June 25, 2010. I know the date says June 25, but that's just the day I STARTED this blog entry. I really am actually PUBLISHING it on July 6th. tells you how long I had to work on it, sheesh! Well, it's been another (more than) month. I promise that I will not resort to this kind of behavior for the long term. It's just that I've been really busy (remember what I said about reasons for delay? I have friends. Plural. Go figure! Afterward, the principal ...

Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm: April 2010
http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Thursday, April 29, 2010. But the next day, after school, the kid called and said that he wanted to work but that his dad wanted to work, too. So, I went down there and picked them all up. All the work was hard on my physically but terribly inspiring mentally. In fact, my eyes were bigger than my. body? Let me tell you though, I had plenty of Ellen and Lost to watch when it rained! They didn't get here until Saturday afternoon and they only stayed 24 hours, bu...

Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm: November 2011
http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Monday, November 14, 2011. I'll warn you that I run the risk of repeating myself in this post. Today is the first time in a long time I've sat down to blog with a clear purpose in mind and a focused message. So, I began to till the earth. I planned and planted, fed and watered, trellised and tied and by the time I got the rest of my family back here, because a new friend had watered the garden for me, I had vegetables and a hernia. I'm gonna work on that now&#...

http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Thursday, March 10, 2011. I've been crazy busy. Rather than just telling you everything that I've done in the last five, I'll give you the quick rundown and the current update. Which brings me to Subway. So, I was like, Heeeeey, I can work for Subway, become an assistant manager, then maybe a manager and then eventually, I'll know how to run the business side of the whole deal. So, let's talk about that one real quick. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm: July 2010
http://way2homestead.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Adventures in Homesteading: Friendship Farm. Monday, July 19, 2010. So, though I had PLENTY to talk about while in France, I didn't have any TIME to get on here and post it, for crying out loud. We let Ryan go to the park with A for one last bruhaha. He didn't get home until like 11pm, but I know it was good for him to say a proper goodbye to his old sidekick. They're supposed to come visit us next year. Probably next summer. I'm looking forward to it. The next day (probably Wednesday? We left the hotel ...
