The Burbs: 3/23/08 - 3/30/08
http://the-burbs.blogspot.com/2008_03_23_archive.html
March 26, 2008. I am not going to add anything more to this blog for the time being. This is to commemerate me turning 35. I was going to delete the blog, but the burberking likes it, so I won't. It is just more self indulgent trash on the internet, if you ask me. I am off to spend more time underwater where it is quiet. Posted by Burbs Queen. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Burbs: 1/20/08 - 1/27/08

January 25, 2008. I used to like it. Then I went off it for a bit. And then one mate used to have great parties on Australia Day, so I developed a bit more affection for it. I once skied through a blizzard in France on Australia Day with two men and the flag. We had a great day, notwithstanding the Fosters. I am yet to recover from the shame. I cannot look at the Australian flag without those Cronulla riot images coming to mind. Eternal shame on us. The motto this year is 'celebrate what's great'.

invisible inkblot: Saint Mary found in penne arrabiata
http://invisibleinkblot.blogspot.com/2010/10/saint-mary-found-in-penne-arrabiata.html
Sunday, October 17, 2010. Saint Mary found in penne arrabiata. An Australian woman has claimed to have found an image of Saint Mary MacKillop in the leftover sauce of her penne arrabiata, just after the official canonisation of Australia's first saint. This afternoon Mary MacKillop was canonised in a special mass at St Peter's Basilica in front of 8000 pilgrims. The image was not able to be verified by a second person. I am certain she visited me in my hotel room because my middle name is Mary and becaus...

Saturday, March 22, 2008. Sorry for the delay in writing again.it's been a very hectic and stressful time. So, this entry is dedicated to . Players - those amazing, innovative and oft funny people who entertain us. I find it is the not so famous players that I have the best and most memorable experiences. And The Dead Kennedy's. During Too Drunk to Fuck. One of my favourite songs:. I love that French voice - Ah see a sheip in ze 'arbour. These players were the perfect end to Jock's dad's day. Inevitably,...

invisible inkblot: August 2008
http://invisibleinkblot.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 06, 2008. I am having to rethink the blog - not because I've run out of things to say - far from it - but my new job as the official Red Cross schmoozer of parliamentarians means I have to be a bit more considered about issues I write about, particularly my whimsical and oft hip-shot political opines. Speaking of which - isn't China going to be v. interesting over the next few weeks? How organised are the Tibetans? The world is watching.I can't wait! Links to this post. Uber Cool Web Pa...

Some random musings from yet another Aussie expat moving to London. The good, the great and the downright ugly experiences! Monday, December 21, 2009. Ok I will admit it up front.I am a foreigner and I am very excited by snow! But at least I admit it! There are a lot of people at work who are pretending to be soooo over the snow, but then sneaking little peeks out the window to see if it's settling on the ground. I see you people! Will the train be delayed? Will the bus be running? So a trudge home in th...

Some random musings from yet another Aussie expat moving to London. The good, the great and the downright ugly experiences! Thursday, May 27, 2010. I decided a few months back that I needed a visit back home to catch up with family and friends and to get some much needed sun! A visit to the doctor the next day resulted in a diagnosis of tonsillitis and a prescription for some strong antibiotics. Who knew you could get tonsillitis 20 years after you'd had your tonsils out? Friends at the beach. Peninsula ...

Some random musings from yet another Aussie expat moving to London. The good, the great and the downright ugly experiences! Sunday, November 14, 2010. James celebrated his 40th birthday a few weeks ago, with good friends, good wine and good cake! The Jaguar car cake made for me by Boola's Bakery in Sutton, highly recommended! James is his birthday present, a lovely new suit from Ben Sherman. Shame about the wine bottle in the photo! Time (even if I do say so myself). Royal Crescent in Bath. I'm a 30 year...

Tuesday, May 27, 2008. 10mm hexagonal key for nuts. Yes, that's right, if you buy the Wenger Giant Swiss Army Knife. It's time to throw away your old Victoria Knox with it's pissy knife, bottle opener and scissors and invest in a Wenger Giant Swiss Army Knife. Ever wanted to keep a laser pointer in your pocket as well as a shortix laboratory key,. Telescopic pointer, fish scaler, hook disgorger, laser pointer with 300 ft range and a golf shoe spike wrench? She won't want anyone else! That's like less than.
