About the above quilt.  It mentions that the “swastika block” is known by other names (aren’t all quilt blocks):. Catch Me If You Can. 160; After reading the article, I was intrigued and went on a quest. I had to go and see what information Barbara Brackman had in her. Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilted Patterns. Book and in the software program. Blocks known as Swastika.

Friday, June 15, 2012. The employees at my local Publix supermarket always seem to give just that little bit more in their service. Today, I ordered a half-sub and the man in the Deli said - for a $1.35 more, I could get the whole-sub (on sale).  I said “why not, it’ll be tomorrow’s lunch”.  And then he extra-wrapped the “tomorrow’s half” in plastic wrap, saying “just keeping it fresh for you tomorrow”. I think if we keep our eyes open, we will see good things happening all around. Links to this post.

Saturday, May 30, 2009. Summer treats and making friends. Well as some of you may have noticed we live in Florida now. Or as I like to call it, hell on the surface of the sun. Even when there's a nice breeze outside I just feel like God turned on his blow dryer. So the kids and I have been trying to stay cool with some summery treats. Monday, November 1, 2010. Halloween lasted four days this year. Take that Christmas! Last week Barry and the kids met up with a friend of ours with a little boy Dahlia's age at Bonker's. It's an indoor play place, and they had a Halloween party day. They had crafts for the kids. The baby and I stayed home, while the big kids got pushed around by bigger kids.
