Friday, June 11, 2010. Nicole was glad to have a Brayden home to join in our Easter morning tradition: Easter egg hunt. April 6-7, 2010. We were able to get away for a quick trip to Atlanta. Friday, November 13, 2009. YW in Excellence was tonight. Nicole is the Laurel president so she was asked to conduct the meeting. Her value displayed was Good Works. The project consisted of organizing a Senior Citizen Ball. She is in the Service Club at school and they organized a dance for local senior citizens. She helped advertise, plan music and entertainment, make corsages and boutineers, and decorate. They also arranged to take a photo of each couple that attended). Hunger- Is Not a Child's Choice.

Friday, September 30, 2011. HAS IT REALLY BEEN THAT LONG? One and a half years and no blog updates! Wow, where has the time gone? December 30, 2010. My nephew was married today and we are SO HAPPY for them. Congrats! They were married in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. Breakfast and fun at mom and dad's. Our December get -away was starting off so well. With a ride in a limo to the hotel. Hotel lobby was decorated with care. In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. Until about 5am that is.

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Lex Balster and his friend Tasha came to visit us. They were vacationing in the USA for a few weeks. (Lex is a relative from my dad's side of the family who still live in Holland). Waikiki Honolulu, Hawaii. Jerry had some work in Honolulu so Nicole and I tagged along. Thursday, January 22, 2009. Don't these pictures make your mouth water. At mutual this week the Laurels and Priests had a cook-off. To begin the night I unveiled the secret ingredient -HONEY. Thursday, September 24, 2009. BHS Homecoming Dance 2009. Somehow I found time to sew during canning season. Nicole got asked to the Homecoming Dance so we went shopping at Decades(a great vintage store) and found the perfect dress to remake. We took the old top off and made a new top, then shortened the bottom and viola! Nicole went with Andy Taggart and they had a fun evening! Jerry and I joined in the fun as chaperones at the dance. Sunday, April 12, 2009. Grandma Allen, Nicole, and I took a little trip to Camas, Washington to watch Kimi perform in her school play "The Sound of Music." She played the part of Brigitta and did awesome. We are so proud. This was our last trip to Camas, Washington because Lee and Alison are moving to St. George. Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Out of My Comfort Zone. This year we put together a senior citizen dance. We made boutonnieres and corsages, served cookies and punch, and took photos for the couples. The decorations were perfect. The students did an awesome job planning this event. Everyone had a great time! This is a MUST for next year! Let's do the Hoki Poki. Sunday, August 30, 2009. I sent Nicole off to BYU to attend EFY (Especially For Youth). Then I flew to Atlanta and spent a few days with Jerry. While Jerry was at work I relaxed by the pool and was able to read 'Fishers of Men' (Volume 1-Kingdom and the Crown series) by Gerald Lund. In the evenings we would go explore Atanta. 1st Day of School. Summer is over- Sooo SAD! Monday, August 3, 2009. The view from our condo. A typical POT FARM.
