Saturday, August 22, 2009. Great 6th Birthday Party! Luke and Alona had one of the best birthday parties any 6 year old could hope for. There were so many friends and family there it was great! A few weeks ago, mom, dad, Sean and I headed to Seattle for the 2009 Inaugural Rock and Roll Marathon. It was an awesome trip, which will get it's own post, but right now we'll get down to the important part, the race! 37000 runners. 13.1 (or 26.2) miles. 2 major hills. So I was watching America's Test Kitchen (LOVE THEM) and saw them make this. It looked so good I decided to try it. But they used a regular 12" skillet which I don't have so I used my larger cast iron skillet. It seemed to work fine. Start the oven warming to 450. 3 lbs ( roughly 7 Apples) Golden Delicious Apples; peeled, cored and sliced.
