A very personal look at life. Sunday, March 6, 2011. A curious musk rat swam out into the water from the marsh grass canopy and the ducks swam toward it. The musk rat turned and paddled back into the grassy cover. I look at them and wonder what it is that draws them together and keeps them together. May 15, 2010. Grilled Chicken with Parsley and Rosemary. I made this up today, and it turned out surprisingly well. Thought you all might enjoy it, too. 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, mostly thawed. 1/3 cup corn oil. 2 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp onion powder. 3 tbsp dried parsley. 1 tbsp dried rosemary. 1/4 tsp chili powder. Saturday, August 21, 2010. I've known the Masters family since before they were a family, meeting Paul when I was about 18 and Tara a year later when they started dating - so over 20 years - yikes! They moved to Houston about two years after we did and have been our local "family" ever since, though now they live two hours away, outside of Austin. Olivia sings with the elementary school choir so I helped drive them to a couple of elderly resident homes and it was sweet to see them all sing their little hearts out. February 9, 2010. Last night I made Chewy Gingersnap Cookies. And they were excellent. A couple of months ago, I made some gingersnap cookies, but they turned out very crispy. Their flavor was excellent, but we prefer a chewy cookie at our house.
