Finally Fun!: Building Skills
http://finallyfunadventures.blogspot.com/p/learning-seamanship.html
Adventures Aboard the Motor Vessel Finally Fun. The Women Only week long class I took with 3 other women and a female Captain, in approximately 2006 in preparation for this lifestyle was very helpful. I learned to physically operate a trawler, docking it, turning it including check oil and fuel in the engine room. All of that was easy in hindsight. After all, that was NOT my boat I was aiming at a dock! I give full credit to YANG - that calm Type C handles this boat well, docking even backing in! The fat...

Finally Fun!: Our Inspiration
http://finallyfunadventures.blogspot.com/p/our-inspiration.html
Adventures Aboard the Motor Vessel Finally Fun. 8220;You are doing whatttttt? 8220;Buying a boat and living on it? 8220;Are you kidding me? You are going WHERE in that thing? Take one triple Type A personality and one Type at least a 'C 'personality, blend together in marriage and let the YING and YANG begin. One full tilt aimed at Adventure Go For It and the other more hesitant but game to always Try It. Throw in a decision to charter a boat - a Trawler - what IS a trawler? Why NOT live aboard a trawler?

Finally Fun!: Great Guana Cay, Black Point Settlement & Staniel Cay
http://finallyfunadventures.blogspot.com/2012/04/great-guana-cay-black-point-settlement.html
Adventures Aboard the Motor Vessel Finally Fun. Friday, April 6, 2012. Great Guana Cay, Black Point Settlement and Staniel Cay. That line of waves is a large reef! Pulling out of Georgetown about 9:00 am on the 5th, we picked our way carefully through the reefs, one eye on reading the water, looking for dark patches that signal things that might be sticking up, tearing our hull and the other eye on the Chart Plotter and Depth Sounder. We finally got out into open water. Andy's 'done' with the lines.

Gil's Blog: Cousin Richie
http://whereisgildrinking.blogspot.com/2010/05/cousin-richie.html
Saturday, May 8, 2010. Today, my cousin Richie passed away. He was two years older than me, and I am glad that I had the opportunity to visit with him a couple of times in the hospital. He confronted his last few days with dignity, courage, and a positive outlook. Richie peacefully passed away early this morning, surrounded by his family. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gil's Blog: A Busy Week in June...
http://whereisgildrinking.blogspot.com/2010/06/busy-week-in-june.html
Wednesday, June 16, 2010. A Busy Week in June. A couple of family milestones this past week. First, Doreen and I held a birthday party for Roxy. She just turned three, and we were excited to plan a kid party for the first time in about a dozen years. Wifey showed no soccer-mom rust, as she expertly miracle'd up decorations, food, table and chair rentals, pinata, and a big Hello Kitty bouncy thing. A few "Bridezilla" moments aside, the event went nicely. Seats You're all gonna need to move immediately".

Adventures Aboard the Motor Vessel Finally Fun. Friday, March 30, 2012. South Side Marina, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Gil's Blog: The New Family Heirloom
http://whereisgildrinking.blogspot.com/2010/03/new-family-heirloom.html
Tuesday, March 16, 2010. The New Family Heirloom. I can't believe I almost forgot to write a note about my newest, prized posession; my yard. It was gifted to me by my good friend Seth, in recognition of recieving my black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is fitting that I recieve this full size yard my old friend. It has already become a family heirloom, indoctrinated during my Sailor's recent visit home- his first since Thanksgiving. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.

Gil's Blog: Morning, Gil
http://whereisgildrinking.blogspot.com/2010/05/morning-gil.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. This may have been my creepiest, weirdest moment ever. Driving on the 210 Freeway this morning, I was personally greeted by the license plate of the white Toyota in front of me. For a split second, I wondered if I was a kind of "Sixth Sense" dead, still driving around, unaware of a horrific car crash that may have been my untimely demise. Surreal. LA traffic sucks even in the afterlife. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. View my complete profile.
