Monday, August 23, 2010. Smith 4th of July Reunion. Every year the Smith Family (Jeff's mothers side) gets together for a week of fun at the Family Cabin up Logan Canyon. It is one of the highlights of the summer. We just hang out and enjoy each other and let the kids run around. This year Adree organized a Minute to Win It competition which was a big hit. Friday, October 2, 2009. Jeff has been talking about wanting to go to the zoo all summer. We finally made it and it was a good thing because the week after we made it to the zoo the temperatures dropped! It was a special time at Hogle zoo because they had so many baby animals. Ellie loved seeing the animals and Kiera loved telling Ellie everything that she knows about gorillas, giraffes, rhino's etc. It was amazing to see the baby elephant and giraffe. They were so cute. I've never been confident in the water (thanks to a certain traumatizing experience during my early childhood), but I am quite proficient. However, much to my surprise.I was underestimating my children! Because of our spring being a bit chillier than normal and a couple of fantastic trips, our visits to Nana's pool didn't really start until July. Here's the Piton boys' swimming time line.
