The Jeff Archer Blog Experiment. Giving You All The 411. Tuesday, July 11, 2006. Rest In Peace Syd Barrett. I found out today that Syd Barrett died a couple of days ago. Syd Barrett was the founder of Pink Floyd and one of the greatest songwriters and musicians of all time. Syd Barrett's influence on myself as a guitarist is immense. The originality and inventiveness that he brought to guitar playing was truly amazing. His songwriting was equally as beautiful. Today is a very sad day for me.

I am sorry for being so late with the announcement but for those of you who don't know Nicholas David Archer was born on October 12th. He was 8 lbs, 15 ozs and 20 1/2 inches long. I can only lift 5 pounds or less so I have to be careful what I lift around the house. It's been hard on me to not be able to touch a guitar in so long. Every day seems to get a little better though. Yesterday they told me one of the boarding girls is leaving so they want to cross train me on boarding. Know what that means for me? I get paid to play and love on dog's, puppies, cats, kittens and the house tortise Quimby! And that is why my new job ROCKS! I know you are all jelouse! You have got to tell me more about his job!

Saturday, March 29, 2008. What an awesome night! We started out at the Pegasus in Greektown for dinner, there was a ton of people there! Nanny nanny poo poo! I got to snuggle with Mary and Jim's new baby Anna! She looks just like her sister Catherine! We had awesome food and Ann picked out a great wine! I took my first ride on the people mover to Joe Louis! It's not nearly as scary as everyone says! We had a blast at the game! Even if they did lose in overtime! It was great to watch! It was all so fun!
