Jefferson Missionary Baptist Church (JMBC) was founded by Pastor Edward Hartman. Pastor Hartman was saved in 1978 and he surrendered to the ministry in Dec of 1981. He began his ministry as interim pastor at First Baptist Church of Point of Rocks MD (his hometown). In 1983, Bro Don Johnson introduced Bro Ed Hartman to Faith Baptist Church, McCrory Arkansas where in April the church voted to sponsor him for mission work. Pastor Hartman was ordained July 1983 by Central Baptist Church of Martinsburg WV.
