Bringing in my college buddies to surprise me for my birthday was an amazing and thoughtful gesture and we're going to have to do this every year now. Less crowds and college football (yay for the epic win. Make this the perfect time to come back. If you've never been to the Outer Banks after Labor Day, the beaches are empty but the summer still lingers. School can wait.

BoePhoto is a photography website for photographer Branden Boe. It is an HTML5 application built using ASP.NET MVC. The look and feel is a custom Bootstrap. Theme designed by Alessio Atzeni. It was important to get away from using the Flash plugin for this site so that it displays properly on mobile devices. And cool web things, too. Oh, and trees are pretty cool. May 18, 2015. We hit the trail last weekend for an overnight backpacking trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The whole family went and I'm proud to say that the 4-year old hiked the entire 7 mile loop (minus maybe five minutes on my shoulders, ouch).
