I did laundry, folded my socks and sorted my clothes, backed up my home server, read a couple pages of notes from my orientation while waiting for Boeing computers to catchup on paperwork and someone call me. Having been in several large corporations, I was confident that there would be delays. There were! Well we can’t do A till B is done but you can’t do B until you get C and D from the computer. Consultants are necessarily flexible. I spent 2 weeks at Bell Labs sitting on a couch reading requirements while they finished building my office.
