I thought of this conversation because last night, at group, we talked a bit about the Bible verse that this person was referring to, 1 Corinthians 10:13, " And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. As the verse says. It amazes me how narcissistic we have become as a church body and how bad it makes us look to those outside of our community.
