Silhouette | Jeff Linn

What is the attraction to silhouettes? Why do we make them? Do they make us. Why does a flat, two-dimensional image with no detail attract our attention? They are a mystery to me. How about this idea; a silhouette is hiding something and we are curious about what. We want to know what it is we’re missing. So., we keep looking, wondering and dreaming. Are you buying any of this? Sometimes, silhouettes are (I’ll use my phrase) unintended experiments. Of course, with enough chimping, anything is possible.

I ventured out yesterday morning and ended up at White City Park, about 10-12 minutes from my home, I just love walking around in the park, taking in the flowers, birds, and what ever else shows up. We must always take the time to experience nature while we photograph it…! Partly cloudy sky…I like shooting flowers either backlit or in open shade. Nature is not always perfect to the eye.
