Tuesday, October 5, 2010. My little boys are now 5 and 7! We had a birthday party for the boys on Friday, September 24th . right between their actual birthdays of the 20th (Jackson) and the 26th (Lincoln). It was a Mario Kart themed party and the kids had a blast playing Wii with their friends and family. We are blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. Thank you to everyone who attended! Sunday, October 23, 2011. Camping at Hocking Hills. We LOVE camping. Camping in the summer in Ohio is too too hot. We decided to go over Labor Day weekend. We figured that by then, the weather might not be so hot and humid. There was a heat wave that weekend. I'm talking serious heat and humidity. Mid 90's and air so thick you wouldn't believe! Aging a '59 Fender Bassman reissue. Poeple who age their unfinished tweed cabinets have used Zinsser Bullseye amber shellac or Minwax Polyshades 'honey pine' finish, among other things. Zinsser will give you an amber/orange aged look, while the Minwax gives more of a butterscotch color (my preference and what you see in the following pictures).
