Destination known and looking for jobs! Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Merhaba (hello) from Istanbul, Turkey. As Jeff said in his previous post, I’m not a good haggler. Shopping in Turkey is definitely not like shopping at Nordstrom’s, although if the Nordie staff starting giving out steaming cups of apple tea in cute little cups, maybe some of their prices wouldn’t be so shocking! Outside the entrance to the grand bazaar. Inside one of the many hallways of the Grand Bazaar. This building is magnificent.

Destination known and looking for jobs! Thursday, March 24, 2011. Tha Khaek, Laos (March 21-March 24). An early morning start was needed to catch our bus from Pakse to Tha Khaek and we were on the road at around 7:30 am. We knew we were in for a long day the moment we stepped foot on our old rickety public bus that did not seem to have a working AC system since the French colonial times. Destination known and looking for jobs! Monday, October 25, 2010. Warsaw was an interesting place…. It was almost completely destroyed in WWII. Most of the buildings in Old Town have been restored, but are missing that historical romantic feel to them since they are newer. We stayed a wonderful bed and breakfast called Boutique B&B just a 20 minute walk from Old Town. The staff there were very nice and informative, the room had a lot of character, and the breakfast was delicious. It was an eerie street.
