I portray the unemployed multitude offering their suggestions on living in a tough economy. The viewer can judge for themselves the merits of their recommendations.

The Writing is on the Wall books present the viewer with descriptions of naval mutinies triggered by financial hardship and images of written marks on walls. This juxtaposition presents a sense of historical repetition and simultaneously denies a sense of historical progress. That resulting tension represents the growing strain in society between the financial entities that have failed us and those who are left to pick up the pieces. The Writing is on the Wall. The photographs in the book are sequenced according to their geographic location as if you are traveling from east to west. This sequencing is intended to re-create this commercial space.
