Sunday, September 23, 2012. Turning Grief towards Hope: A Two Year Journey. Yes (and with that our lives are forever changed). Benjamin and I are expecting our first child. Just typing that makes me smile. Before I get into the whole how we found out and our reactions, I wanted to start this post a little differently and to do so I have to go back almost 2 years. There is nothing wrong! While that was great news it was also so frustrating. If there was nothing wrong, why were we not yet pregnant? The lis...

To Love, Honor, and DIY: August 2015
http://thebeswicks.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. I can't believe summer is almost over! I feel like I just blinked and it's August but when I look back at our summer calendar I can't believe we survived! While summertime is a season when most families wind down a bit a relax, the family of a Student Pastor prepare for the chaos. A quick glance at our summer looks something like this:. 8226; Amelia's 2nd Birthday party with her friends. 8226; a fun visit from Ben's parents over Benjamin's birthday weekend. 8226; A week of VBS.

Thursday, August 25, 2011. I have been out-of-control busy the past few weeks and with every thing I was doing I thought "I should write a post about this" and then I didn't. It's the thought that counts though, right? We started getting really busy about a month ago when we had some guests (Ben's sister's family) stay with us for a week. It was so much fun to see them and explore Colorado with them. Here is a cute picture of us:. So we took a week-ish break from all things home improvement :). If you lo...

Saying "bless you" in your tiny sweet voice after any cough, sneeze, and (pardon me) toot. Saying "I want you" when you want Daddy or I to hold you. You say SO MANY WORDS!

To Love, Honor, and DIY: March 2012
http://thebeswicks.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 19, 2012. For months now I have been pinning images of DIY'ed headboards. It is something that I really wanted to try but was worried it would be too hard or not be cost effective. I finally bit-the-bullet and decided to go for it. I used this tutorial. Here if anyone is interested. As mentioned above I also bought the foam during that trip for 50% off. I bought the 3-inch stuff as recommended in the tutorial. And I am so glad I did. I don't think I would have been happy with anything t...

To Love, Honor, and DIY: November 2012
http://thebeswicks.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 14, 2012. And so it begins. I promised to write the fun details of how we found out we were pregnant and how I told Ben. So here it goes :). After taking the other two tests and seeing positive results on all three I realized it was true! About five minutes after I came to that realization my friend Kate called to ask me a question. Using all the control within me I kept my voice normal, answered her question, and hung up without mentioning anything. We are so excited and can't wait!

Thursday, March 28, 2013. The time is getting near (just 4 weeks until my due date! For our little Critter to arrive and we are getting so excited! We enjoyed Chick-fil-A, manicures, shopping and just hang out time while she was here and had a great time! I really wish I had bee...
