Return to Main Index. The Swiss village of Soglio, perched on the side of the incredibly narrow, steep Val Bregaglia, just a few kilometers from the Italian border. This was our hiking base for ten days. A lone coffee-drinker on the main square of Soglio. One of the primary streets in Soglio. Another major thoroughfare in Soglio. Return to Main Index. Kelso Depot, in the middle of the Mojave National Preserve, was a busy place 70 years ago. Today, it's the Park Service visitor center for the preserve. Several times a day, a mile-long Union Pacific freight train rumbles through. Banshee Canyon, in the Hole-in-the-Wall area of the preserve. On the aptly-named Rings Loop Trail. Because of the direction I had chosen for the loop, I had to back down this stretch. The bleeding from my index finger stopped in only about 20 minutes.

A website is the answer - others can look at the pictures or not, as they choose, and at their leisure. I grabbed a domain name, and started cobbling together some simple album pages for the web, but generating them by hand was a huge amount of work, and the results were primitive, at best. Then I discovered jAlbum. And never looked back. I used Laza's. Skin, based on the Highslide JS. Skin, building on Boxer. Today, many versions later, they share virtually no code, other than the underlying Highslide JS.
