Bob Goff tells a story in his book, Love Does, where he fires his father’s rifle in the house. Because of how he was holding it, he took the recoil (and the scope) in his right eye. A couple of minutes later he came to covered in blood. And afraid he was going to get into trouble. His father scooped him up into his arms and took him to the hospital.
