Monday, June 18, 2012. God has blessed me once again.I love seeing His hand in our lives! It's awesome to receive a blessing and receive an amazing gift from Him when it's not at all expected! For this new job, I won't have to move and I won't even have to move schools! I was hired to be the 5th grade teacher. At the same school I've been working at for a little over a year. Friday, September 21, 2012. Our final harvest.the watermelons had no taste at all, but the pumpkins made good decorations! All these marigolds came from 1 $1 pack of seeds! They were huge and beautiful and crazy :). Our black eyed susans! A little watermelon :). We ended up with quite the garden.vines and flowers everywhere! We definitely learned some lessons along the way and have some new ideas for next year, but all in all, we checked it off as a success :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Verse of the Day.

Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Vacation Part 3- Petersburg, KY. This may seem like a random place to stop, but it is the home of the Creation Museum. And it was an interesting stop. By the way, there's not much else in that area so don't plan on spending much time around there, unless of course you like fields. It was very informative, but it was almost too much information to take in at one time. We enjoyed it and we were amazed by the many, many details they included in their displays. Our great driver :).

Monday, June 24, 2013. After school got out this year, we left for a few days to Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. It was so nice to get away and enjoy some time exploring. I just finished teaching about the colonies and the birth of our nation, so it was really cool to see all the history come alive :). Our beautiful condo we stayed in, courtesy of a Living Social deal :). Of course we had to find a coffee shop in Colonial Williamsburg :) It was fun to be served as they would have been!

Friday, March 29, 2013. Salvation is an amazing gift.Celebrate THAT GIFT this Good Friday and this Easter! Wednesday, March 13, 2013. There's been a lot going on here at the Houston house and I can't share everything yet.maybe eventually.but not right now. These last few days have been difficult and yet, we have felt the peace of God! We are amazed by the outpouring of love and support and prayers from our friends and family. We have been continually. Is my shepherd,. I shall not want. He leads me beside.

Monday, April 22, 2013. Happy Birthday, Dale! This year Dale celebrated his 40th. We spread out the celebrations and made it special for him! I am SOOO blessed to call him my husband! I LOVE YOU, Sweetie! My very patient and loving husband. The perfect match God had for me! We celebrated with Dale's family and yummy cupcakes :). We went to the Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse with my family :). Sunday, April 7, 2013. It was an absolutely beautiful hotel and walking by the Potomac River was so peaceful!

Sunday, August 11, 2013. Summer House Projects 2013 :). Of work on our house this summer! This was 1 project I've been dying to do- the OFFICE! We clean it up and then it becomes a room of piles, so hopefully, we'll be able to keep it clean and organized. Our magnetic chalkboard wall! It turned out so good :). It turned out better than I thought :). The top- it looks a little like a flag, but it's something different :). BEFORE: Faded and Worn. The front of the house before painting. Verse of the Day.

Saturday, July 14, 2012. This last week we've gotten to spend time with both our little nephews! It's been nice having the summer off and enjoying time with family- often spur of the moment :) Both the boys are growing and it's so fun to see them change and grow! Seeing Reid last weekend in Philly and taking him swimming at Grandmom's was fun! He's got sooo much hair it's crazy! He was so happy and he's getting so big! Friday, July 13, 2012. Our first flower appeared last week! We have lots more now!
