Julz Glass: August 2011
http://julzglass.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 11, 2011. Bad with the good. Okay - the new kiln and the old kiln proved to be challenging recently. I fused blanks in each of them and experienced huge bubbles. Double yuck and ruined glass. I am not sure if the bubble problem was my schedule - which I changed, or the fact that I moved my old kiln when the new kiln arrived and I may need to do some better leveling. My small kiln did a great job with a new glass quilt. Glass quilt on table. Glass quilt in window. Links to this post.

Sunday, October 30, 2011. I created some new cabs or features for future work. Now I'm having the grand problem of deciding what to do with them. What a magnificent problem to have on this rainy, last day of the month. Pictures taken w/ iPad. Yes, I finally figured out how to get them to the blog. Links to this post. Red (even though it looks maroon in these pictures). Links to this post. Thursday, October 27, 2011. How did that happen? Cleaning the yard and garden this afternoon. Links to this post.

Julz Glass: More recycled glass with emamel color
http://julzglass.blogspot.com/2013/02/more-recycled-glass-with-emamel-color.html
Sunday, February 17, 2013. More recycled glass with emamel color. Window glass turns a fine ice-blue color after being fired in the kiln. I love the ice-blue color,. But adding a bit of enamel can bring a new dimension to my glass pieces. I ordered a sample selection of enamels from Thompson Enamel. And have loved experimenting with the opaque and transparent colors. Pre-fired glass blanks in the kiln. The enamel colors don't really show themselves until after firing. I love the color. Julz Glass: January 2012
http://julzglass.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 29, 2012. Light, but not a full view of me working. I also wanted to use these fused circles that I made a long time ago. I have worked this weekend on getting it soldered. My next challenge will be how to get it to stay securely in place without damaging the office door. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Julz Glass: September 2011
http://julzglass.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Tonight (three weeks later). Okay, so this post is a bit later than I thought it might be three weeks ago. The Day Lilies have finished blooming for the year. I'm not sure where the small frogs are taking their meals these days;-). A very short vacation with a bit of wine tasting. I have successfully used my big kiln. Success is a good thing). Small, dotted dish. A slump gone wonky. It might be salvaged if used as a ring holder. Full steam into September . . . Orange Basket We...

Julz Glass: February 2013 - glass
http://julzglass.blogspot.com/2013/02/february-2013-glass.html
Saturday, February 2, 2013. February 2013 - glass. What I am working on now. . . Temperatures in Wisconsin have gone from below zero with -20 windchills to 40 and back in the last 5 days. Today it is sunny and a cold 14 degrees. The above two pics are a bit of fusing that happened around the holidays. I really like these stars hanging in my front window. They catch the light and sparkle on sunny days. Perhaps permanent, front window ornaments.). We had 9 inches of snow last week. View my complete profile.

Julz Glass: April 2011
http://julzglass.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 30, 2011. One new garden stake finished! Yesterday we had a beautiful spring day. My daffodils are finally starting to bloom. This year's spring has been non-existent. We still have a pile of snow at the end of our road. Getting the kiln running again and successfully completing a new garden stake feels very good. I am optimistic that May will bring better weather. Garden stake resting on the ground. Garden stake with light shining through it. Fusing - this morning in the kiln . . . A new...
