Wayward Goose Farm: Our Name
http://waywardgoosefarm.blogspot.com/p/our-name.html
Cow of the Day. This is Oscar, the wayward goose. The story behind the name is rather a silly one: during the summer of 2009. Dan and Laurie made the decision to leave their home of 28 years, the family. Farm on which Dan was born and worked all his life. The reasons for this decision. Are no longer important. Suffice it to say, it was a difficult decision to reach with. Many heartaches along the way. They searched many months for a suitable farm. Where they could relocate, to no avail. Of Florida. A...

Wayward Goose Farm: Barn art!
http://waywardgoosefarm.blogspot.com/2012/08/barn-art.html
Cow of the Day. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. After spending a large part of this summer painting the farm sign a thought occurred to me: why stop there? That turned out pretty well, so I continued on with an action painting of Jill and her babysitting charges, Brantley and Amelia. They always love to run across the row of round bales lined up behind the barn and I particularly loved Brantley's cowboy boots and Amelia's outstretched arms. Adventures in Babysitting, Vermont Style". Posted by Wayward Goose Farm.

Cow of the Day. Tuesday, May 8, 2012. This is the granary, one of the original old buildings on the farm. Built in the early 1800's and originally used to keep corn and other grains dry, it stands in front of the barn, nearest the road. Now, besides being used to store a few odds and ends it's also home to a family of foxes that has taken up residence beneath it. Underneath the left corner is the front door. Where we often see the youngsters romping and playing. Allowing him to snap some very nice photos.
