Golden Birthday: 27 on the 27th. My birthday was almost a month ago but I figure it's about time I do a birthday post! Which saved me from attempting to make my own. I ordered some fake mustaches from Amazon and some stuff from the dollar store and we were good to go. It wouldn't be a party without my 2 year old niece walking around wearing a fez and drinking water from a plastic champagne glass. I'm ready to make 27 the best year yet! Looks like so much fun! That looks like just about the best time ever!

They call me Birdie. Sunday, May 27, 2012. A French Mothers' Day Shout out to my French Mom! So I leave Paris tomorrow, and it's hitting me like a ton of bricks. I'll be back for a single night next Friday, but for the most part, this is it. I don't have time to go into all the reflections of my stay here just yet,. But I want to do a quick shout out to the amazing family who hosted us today! Today is Mother's Day in France, and so I am particularly grateful to Veronique. We got the whole gang together!

They call me Birdie. Wednesday, November 7, 2012. So there you have it. So I don't know about you, but for me watching debates and elections is almost more exciting and cutthroat than football. Especially in a presidential race this close. Call me crazy, but I really love politics, even when they disappoint me. I won't go into some big political rant about how irresponsible and stupid Americans are for voting someone back into office who has already done so much damage, that's not what this blog is for.

June 6, 2015. June 6, 2015. Didn’t realize how much I needed a couple of no schedule fun days. Thanks to her private kindergarten ending Fri b/f Mem Day, and no camps beginning til Jun 1st, I got to steal her away to the condo. It was the first opportunity I’d had for one on one time just w/Claire and it was great to get to know her more intimately. While it was just 3 overnights, we immediately fell into a comfy routine:. 6a /- Wake up. Sigh, I am sooooo glad blackout blinds are ordered. May 22, 2015.
