This scarf can be worked in the back loops for a ribbed look, or just normal crochet through both loops. Both give a nice finished look. This is on ravelry.com. You need an account to see this pattern. Basic Newborn Hat (my pattern):. Ch 5, sl st to first ch to form ring. Round 4-12: ch 1, hdc in each st around, sl st to join (36 in ea round).
