After yet more buses and shared taxis, we found ourselves along with a Dutch girl called Mirjam, checking into hostel Tra La La, a comfortable, colourful, and very well-maintained hostel (excellent showers) that had only been open a few months. From Villa de Leyva we jumped on a bus north through some spectacular semi-jungle and arrived at San Gil, described by the lonely planet as the adventure sports capital of Colombia.
