Thursday, February 03, 2011. Chinese New Year chick pea and coconut milk jellies. Okay, I didn't make these - my mom did - but they're so cute I had to write about them. My mom made us sweet and savory goodies for Chinese New Year. She molded the chick pea and coconut mlk jellies (my fave) in the form of petit fours: rosettes, fish, hearts, medallions. So cute! True to its word, shredding those carrots was a breeze, taking just a few seconds after peeling and cutting them. But for some reason, I ended up with flat carrot pieces after each shred; that is, not all of the carrot could be shredded since there was space between the pusher and the blade. You don't see that in the video! Saturday, June 19, 2010.
