Learning to love a different way of life. I am struck today by something that happens to everyone but few people are able to understand and reconcile: suffering. Please pray for the family she left behind - not only her husband and five children (3 college-age boys and 2 pre-teen girls), but also her extended family in the US and her mission family here. Learning to love a different way of life. Mom is here, and we just got back from Minas Gerais last night. She, A, S, and I went, because we had to stay in that pousada one last time, and we had to go back to the pewter factory and the blanket city and that little restaurant we ate at when we went horseback riding. By then I had to rush, but I made it on the plane! It was a very painful 2 flights.my peruvian doctors didn't prescribe me any pain medicine and Ibufrofen just didn't do it. Friday, February 23, 2007. On to better news, Amy and I have started working in a new area. We'll still go to Los Olivos 4 days a week, and we'll now go to Canto Grande 2 days a week. Canto Grande is in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, the most populated district in Lima. We spent our first full day there yesterday, and a full day it was! Please be in prayer. Friday, August 10, 2007. Autumn and I got back late last night from Argentina. It was a really really good vacation. We stayed with an Argentine family and didn't have to plan anything for this trip. Friday, March 09, 2007. Yesterday and today have been…I’ll just say interesting. Last night I went to the Shearers’ house to watch a movie with Pam, Melissa, and Lane. I took a combi there. At first there was a man riding in the front seat, but I was the only one in the back. A guy got on and decided he needed to sit in the seat with me. I barely fit in combis and I’m short, so for someone to sit in the seat with me when the whole thing is empty is really strange. He said he had just wanted to talk to me.
