Even most of my closest friends don't know that the last few months have been extremely difficult on several fronts for me. I keep it private because I'm fiercely independent and hate asking for help, and I'm pretty resourceful in handling things, temporally and spiritually. I wish they knew how much I love them. I hope it's all worth it in the end - that they get what they need from me as a mom.

Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Our family has lost a treasure. He was a brilliant engineer. He is one of about 4 people who can get away with still calling me Jenny. He always complimented my cooking. He loved me unconditionally. He always told me I was beautiful. He loved everything having to do with Kentucky - the Derby, basketball, Bluegrass music. He was a calming force for my sometimes turbulent emotions. He was an example of strength and manhood for my boys. He was the greatest man I've ever known.
