Teacher Jen Goes To Kenya. Saturday, December 02, 2006. Thank you so much for your wonderful letters! It is great to see your names. I miss you a lot. Some of you asked about the toilets in Kenya. In Kibera, the poor neighborhood, people go to the bathroom in plastic bags. They put the bags in the street. The street smells bad. It is sad that so many people live with no toilets and no schools. Right now the students at the Peace School are studying first aid. We are visiting a small city called Lamu.

Teacher Jen Goes To Kenya. Sunday, November 26, 2006. These are photos from a very poor neighborhood in Nairobi. The name of the neighborhood is Kibera. Yesterday I walked in Kibera for two hours. I learned a lot. One million people live in Kibera. They have very little money. They have no toilets. They have to pay a lot of money for water. And they don't have much money.
