Jen and Staci's African/semi-European Adventure! Tuesday, May 25, 2010. So we've now been in Africa a little over 2 weeks and a whoooole lot has happened. For those of you who don't know, Zanzibar is an incredibly gorgeous island with some amazing beaches, one of which is ranked one of the top 10 in the world. Jen and Staci's African/semi-European Adventure! Monday, May 10, 2010. Day 2 in Africa. As part of our volunteer program, every day we get to see and experience things that are part of the local culture. Yesterday we got a tour of the museum and a historical site in Bagamoyo, as well as an old slave-trading house. Today, our trip was to the local "hospital", if you can even call it that. The hospital is comprised of about 20 doctors (which is a good thing! Hope all is well and talk soon! 1 week in Africa.
