He · C. Outure · C. Early Seventeenth Century Wool Gown. These pictures are from the gowns third wearing, on Thanksgiving for my works annual event. Someday Ill starch my darn cuffs enough that they wont start going wonky after a few minutes! Im wearing the gown over my newest petticoat with upperbodies. Ignore the white threads all over me; I was sewing a shirt! Middot Leave a comment. On December 13th, 2016 01:31 am (UTC). Every time, you absolutely nail it. Perfect, head to toe! Over and Under: 1860s Half Mourning Cotton Dress and Cage Crinoline - The Couture Courtesan
http://reine-de-coudre.livejournal.com/227397.html
He · C. Outure · C. Over and Under: 1860s Half Mourning Cotton Dress and Cage Crinoline. Last weekend I once more had my 1860s mourning display set up at a local Civil War reenactment. About a week before the event, I decided it would be. Totally reasonable to finish the half mourning printed cotton dress that I started two years ago. Im glad I pushed through and finished it because Im quite pleased with the dress even though its cotton (what can I say, I love silk and wool! And others like it. That woul...

I've been doing. Have a dekko at these piccies! This is the back of the bodice. Front of the bodice. Of course, the straps, armholes and neckline still need completing but I'd just been fighting with the lacing and been bitten by the numerous pins. Question for you all (who have made one of these gowns! As for ...

Is it time to start using this thing? March 1st, 2005 (01:48 pm). Okay, I'm not terribly sure how I feel about this whole public journalling thing (I feel like my life is either uninteresting or not something I want to post about), but let's give it a whirl. Costuming related topics will, however, stay at http:/ www.demodecouture.com. I'll make this first post public, afterwards posts shall be friends only. My first post is already boring!
