This is what my resurrection life has become . . . August 4, 2008 in Uncategorized. This Sunday in Sunday School the conversation ended up centering around prayer. One of the aspects of prayer that has been sitting heavy with me is confession. One of the student’s in my class, shared how he feels when he has done something wrong (something pretty equal to guilt), until he makes a point to confess and ask for forgiveness. This is what my resurrection life has become . . . June 7, 2009 in Uncategorized. Today I . . . Drove a bus of ten “tweens” to McDonalds to have a celebratory breakfast to honor the 6th graders moving on to the youth group. Kneeled at the altar of Northwest with the staff of Camp Hosanna 2009, as the church gathered around and prayed for us. Got whip creamed for the second time, in honor of all the “Splash Points” that were earned during our preperation for Splash Kingdom. Comments feed for this article.

This is what my resurrection life has become . . . You are currently browsing the monthly archive for August 2008. August 18, 2008 in Uncategorized. Today I ran the fastest mile I have in my whole young life . . . granted it was a long 11 minutes and thiry seconds . . . but for me it a most magnifiscent start. I am tired this morning and wee bit hungry, but still happy to be awake and alive. The last eight months has been whirlwind of sort, especially this summer. And I like it. It occurred to me tonight...

This is what my resurrection life has become . . . July 15, 2008 in Uncategorized. God’s timing constantly surprises me . . . and I love it. Tonight I got to talk with an old friend that I met at Zion. Her and her husband are the kind of people that I always want to know . . . no matter how far apart our journeys take us. It had been almost two years since we had spoken . . . but with Russ and Shari time does not really seem to matter. The year I spent at Zion, I did not spend very much time on campus.

Friday, October 29, 2004. Why does this have to infiltrate every tiny speck of my life? It never leaves. Will it leave someday? Will it be gone? Will I ever be able to sit down at a meal without really thinking about it? Will I ever be able to go an hour without thinking about how much my body doesn't look like it should? Will I ever feel the freedom to dance because of the confidence I have in myself and in the beauty God has instilled in me? Right now, it seems like NO, NO, NO, NO, and NO. Ohhmy spirit...

Monday, February 23, 2004. Wow, this week = craziness at the Princess 4. What at first appeared to be a total stab in the dark for Mel Gibson may turn out to be one of the biggest films we’ve seen come out in a while (for a little info on the film, check out http:/ www.nytimes.com/2004/02/24/movies/oscars/24BERN.html? How do you fight temptation? What amazing things has Christ done for you? How can I pray for you as a sister in Christ? A card is a little limiting, isn’t it? Friday, February 20, 2004.

Thursday, September 23, 2004. Well, my age finally matches my license plate. Yep, I’ve been waiting for this day for several years. Haha Just kidding. But at least it’s more relevant than having my high school softball number on my plates. One more year, and Kimmy22 is gone for good. So, happy day of my birth to my mom who went through the trouble and my dad who made it possible. *grin*. So, here’s my list of cool things that made this day a little out-of-the-ordinary (well, starting with last night):.

Friday, January 30, 2004. There are so many things on my mind, I’ve been sitting here trying to write, and I just can’t seem to find a place to start. So, maybe I’ll try again tomorrow. Posted by Kimmy at 1/30/2004 11:48:00 PM. Thursday, January 29, 2004. I'm not really sure how I am feeling right now. I'm just in one of those spots where I am trying to think about WAY too many things at one time, and it's becoming a bit overwhelming. Let's try this one step at a time. Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Thursday, July 22, 2004. Well, I had to return. To the library, so no more quotes for now until I can someday hopefully buy a copy. But, life is still plugging away, and I find myself somehow staying busy.just a lot of random things going on: trying to keep track of the women's center stuff, dealing with weddings, working, house/dog-sitting, babysitting, putting together/practicing worship music, hanging out with peeps, composing music. All good stuff. Anyway.check out Spen's blog. It's good stuff. That ...

Play the long game. Say ‘no’ to hate. Look for opportunities, especially when it seems like there aren’t any left. Risk a bigger dream. Take care of the little guy. Do work that matters.
