January 10, 2012. Semi-Handmade Vintage Book Box. I found a wooden trunk/chest at Ben Franklin. My favorite local craft store in my area. I started painting the large trim with gesso. I smeared some Vaseline on the hinge before painting the gesso on. This made cleaning off any accidental paint drops on the hardware.
