Thursday, January 30, 2014. My mom makes THE best sugar cookies. She would make them every December for us to decorate. I've kept this tradition alive with my children. This was the first year that they turned out perfectly! They were amazing. Thanks mom! Best Sugar Cookies Ever. 3/4 cup shortening/butter (half of each). 2 1/2 cups flour. 1 t baking powder. Dough will be sticky. Refrigerate for several hours. Form dough in small ball. Roll it out with rolling pin. On 400 until edges are slightly brown.

Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Waverly is a very talented smoothie maker. She loves fruit and would make smoothies for every meal, if I let her. She also likes to make Slim Fast shakes with peanut butter and chocolate syrup. Obviously an ironic combo. Wavy has been obsessed with science experiments. Right now she is doing one with string, hot water, and baking soda. Matt, Jaylee, Conard and I playing Phase 10 Dice. I hope the kids grow up having fond memories of game nights. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Every October, the kids and I go and spend the day in Park City. We play at the city park, and go to main street where we buy a book at the book store and an ice cream at Rocky Mountain Chocolate. We also love to look in the art galleries and go to see the exhibit at the Kimball arts center. This year we stayed for dinner at the Red Banjo. I look forward to Park City Day all year! Wednesday, June 20, 2012. So, since we had to repaint all the rooms effected by the flood (which was 70% of the house) we decided to change some rooms around and do some redecorating. Maggie and Hailey moved down stairs to the office/school room and the office was moved up stairs. Maggie wanted a tropical theme in her room and this is the color she chose: Key Lime green. i love it. I had to do two coats of off white and a glaze on top for the family room. The picture looks more uneven than it does IRL.

Monday, October 13, 2014. It was a cold and rainy Columbus Day. Both kids were home and we were getting stir crazy. Enter Frozen inspired Playdough! Wednesday, February 5, 2014. This is the third day in a row that I have walked on the treadmill. Monday and Tuesday I walked for thirty minutes at 5:00 am. Today I walked for 45 minutes in the afternoon. I'm down eight pounds in two weeks. The only change I made in those two weeks was not eating after dinner. Isn't that crazy? Friday, November 15, 2013.
