I have it in mind to one day have a place debt free, by the grace of God. This dream is going to take some creativity to make it happen. So, I look around for ideas. After church and Sunday school, the weather was so amazingly warm (upper 70’s) that my husband decided to open up the camper and do some cleaning. We all enjoyed some time just relaxing out there too. It won’t be long now! We went to lunch at a grocery store salad bar, which can’t be beat for freshness. Here was my lunch. Doesn’t he look 13? The sun is shining!

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Ryan went back to the local high school yesterday. He was eager to get back to band. The first 3 hours of his day are in band. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. This is our last week of summer, and Ryan's first full week of school with all the marching band rehearsals on top. So far, so good. We are making the most of our last few days, and Ryan is really happy with his teachers and schedule. We went to a lovely 40th birthday pool party on Sunday. It felt so good to get in a pool on such a warm day. Plus, it was nice to be with friends. Ryan had band rehearsal. Tomorrow Grace and I are going to visit a new baby in the neighborhood....

Wednesday, July 15, 2015. That old saying is true. Ten days off really fly by when you are having fun. Our vacation this year was part stay-cation, a camping cabin at Lake Michigan for a couple nights, all book-ended by two 10 mile bike rides with my parents, and a professional soccer game. I think we made the most of our time off! The cabin was tiny, but very cozy, and kept us dry, because it rained a bit each day. It was easier to walk behind the dunes, and so pretty. Thursday, April 21, 2016. It seems that blogs have a lifespan and this one is no different. It was started with fear and trembling a long, long time ago. The hope was to connect with other home educators and to record the happenings of a home educating family. That was another lifetime ago it seems. Now my kids are all teenagers and there are fewer things to document. I don't know. Perhaps I will just let things go for awhile and see what happens. And I will be glad to see you!
