A Home Away From Home: Exploring the Kingdom of Lesotho
http://jennafinch.blogspot.com/2014/02/exploring-kingdom-of-lesotho.html
Exploring the Kingdom of Lesotho. Tucked away amongst the clouds and surrounded by the sprawling magnificence of the Drakensberg. Lies the mountain kingdom of Lesotho. The only real item on our itinerary was to enter Lesotho via the famed Sani Pass. And enjoy a warm glass of gluhwein at the highest pub in Africa. Beginning in South Africa and ending at the Lesotho border, the Sani Pass is renowned for its scenic views and somewhat notorious 4x4 route. Many people make the drive in one day, enjoying a...

Guest Post} Mrs Rosie Posie. I was so pleasantly surprised when. Let me know that she would be willing to wrap up my series of guest posts on Durban for me while I was away. Caley is the first South African blogger I was lucky enough to meet and since then she’s quickly become one of my bloggy besties. She and I often offer each other words of support and encouragement since we are both still studying (bleh). Hi everyone, I’m Caley from Mrs Rosie Posie. The stadium has calmed down after the World Cup sto...
A Home Away From Home: Weekend in Clarens Recap
http://jennafinch.blogspot.com/2011/04/weekend-in-clarens-recap.html
Weekend in Clarens Recap. Clarens was wonderful, relaxing and everything I'd hoped it would be! It was so nice being able to spend some quality time with Jurgen and we enjoyed eating delicious food, meandering through the art galleries and spending some serious time buried in good books. As is always the case upon returning from a trip, I'm now super busy trying to get unpacked, catch up on class work and prepare for my new job. A bird's eye view of Clarens. One of the many adorable cafes. Jurg was a Pro!

Our Little Kingfisher Friend | Into West Africa
https://intowestafrica.wordpress.com/2012/04/18/our-little-kingfisher-friend
An expatriate's life in Port Gentil, Gabon. Our Little Kingfisher Friend. Every afternoon, usually between 4 and 5, our little kingfisher friend stops by for a dip in the pool. He sits up on the ledge of the eavestrough and every once in awhile, he hurls himself into our pool before returning to the ledge to shake off. By the way, it’s extremely difficult to get a good picture of the little guy with our point and shoot. I think it’s time to upgrade! Laquo; Around Town. Au revoir Gabon, Hola Spain. Enter ...
Moving to Gabon? | Into West Africa
https://intowestafrica.wordpress.com/moving-to-gabon
An expatriate's life in Port Gentil, Gabon. So you or your husband/wife has been offered a position in Gabon and you are wondering if you should go…. With that being said, you need to come with an open mind. I’ve met several women who come and hate that it’s different and can’t, or won’t, cope with the difficulties. Those who tend to look at the negative side of everything often have a tougher time here. You have to be prepared to take the good with the bad. I can’t stress this enough! If your company pr...

Cruising Kaya FM style – Its all about the music! January 29, 2014. And let me tell you…it was REALLY good! No, it was not a legit veggie filled smoothie, but do you see the color of it? There is a lot more green stuff then not green stuff! Put whatever you want in it! I used what we had. ...

Thoughts On Life and Travel. For me, this year has been one of growth and reflection. With my studies drawing to a close and the final days of my status as a single twenty-something looming, 2014 not only marks the end of an era, but also the start of so many new beginnings. As from next year the excuse of " I just need to get through my studies. No longer applies. It's time to really figure out what I want in life, in a career, in a marriage, in the world around me and go for it. That we all should.
