My adventures preparing for, and living in, Japan. Saturday, February 6, 2010. I took the photo in the top banner there. It's some random town along the Tokaido-sen that I took a picture of as I was travelling from Tokyo to Nagoya over Winter Break in 2008. Please allow myself to introduce.myself. However, I was able to pass all my courses and secure my M.A. in Japanese. I had only applied to one PhD program (at the University of Toronto) though, and unfortunately I was not accepted. Look...So now, my go...

http://kellygoesjapan.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. China Town, etc. So last Friday I went to an AET meeting in downtown Yokohama (Motomachi Chukagai station). After the meeting I decided I would treat myself to a nice meal. After all, my bills came in and they were much cheaper than expected, so I had left over money. I took several pictures while I was there and I thought you lot would enjoy seeing them. Today my school took a picture of me to be put in the PTA newsletter. They said I can get a copy once it goes out. I h...WARNI...

Kelly Goes Japan: Hadano!
http://kellygoesjapan.blogspot.com/2011/07/hadano.html
Thursday, July 21, 2011. This is what his area looks like near the station:. I arrived a little after noon and headed up to his apartment. View from near his apartment:. Matt made delicious banana and almond pancakes (I helped :3) and afterwards, we headed out to walk along the river. The walk along the river was around 2 miles, but was quite beautiful. All in all, the trip was worth it. I really enjoyed visiting Hadano and would like to go back there to go hiking or maybe go to an onsen.

An American Girl's Exploits in a Foreign Land. July 25, 2011. And by that I mean a new beginning of complete uncertainty. Hopefully, all of my questions will be answered by tomorrow morning. http://kellygoesjapan.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 21, 2011. Just wanted to let every one know that I'm safe and living in my apartment in Asahi-ku. The only Internet I have is via my android phone. More info later when I can actually type. Posted by Kelly f. Monday, March 14, 2011. I'm finally leaving. I heard from my friend Tomomi, who was at school when the quake and tsunami happened and she is fine. All of my friends are fine. I know things will be hard when I first arrive. This obviously isn't how I planned how my trip would take p...
