A life full of joy: Bring on the Flushed Face!
http://alifefullofjoy.blogspot.com/2012/02/bring-on-flushed-face.html
Thursday, February 16, 2012. Bring on the Flushed Face! Those who know me know I have a flair for the dramatics. Not in an excessively, overreacting all the time sort of way, but I am one who likes to entertain. I am the funniest person I know after all. 8221; I mean, aside from a church musical in my tween years, I had never even set foot on a stage. Nor did I have any vocal training. And dance training? Of course, the next day my name was missing from the call back list. I’m sure I was a litt...As I wa...

A life full of joy: July 2009
http://alifefullofjoy.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 2, 2009. It's time to Catch Up. My lack of posting is not for lack of things going on around the Krenek. Household. It's more of a lack of motivation on my part. Sad, but true. Especially when I have such a darling subject to write about. If only the darling subject did not have the energy of a thousand suns. Momma is tired. But I would not have it any other way! Turned 2 on June 26 th. And we celebrated on Saturday with a party in her honor. I can not believe. The opening of the presents.

Monday, June 17, 2013. Parenting for Dummies 101. Forget the child birth classes. That’s the easy part. What’s really needed are lessons on parenting. Through the excitement of pregnancy and the joy of seeing and holding your child for the very first time no one ever sits you down and smacks you in the face with the cold hard reality that parenting is by far the hardest job you will ever do. A life full of joy: Toddler Nightmares
http://alifefullofjoy.blogspot.com/2009/09/toddler-nightmares.html
Wednesday, September 9, 2009. I woke up early this morning to Mags thrashing about and talking in her sleep. Specifically. She was saying: " Nooooo. I have to say I got tickled - even in the wee hours of the morning. Poor girl is apparently having nightmares about dinnertime fare and the lack of choices that abound in the Krenek. Household for her. I have to admit, she does eat a lot of pasta and fish sticks. Perhaps I should inquire into how they are presenting such fare to make it so appealing. I think...

Life's never dull in a house full of poochies. June 30, 2016. June 30, 2016. Midday of Day 2 on our Retreat of Silence and I was ready to talk. Cheryl laughed, gave me a hug, and said, “Tomorrow.”. Ready to talk about the plans He’s unfolding in my heart and mind, what I’ve written down, what’s yet to be written down. And ready to listen to what and where Cheryl hears Him calling her. I won’t lie, it’s been tough not talking for almost three days. There are times when hand signals and smi...We started ou...

Life's never dull in a house full of poochies. July 5, 2015. July 5, 2015. Me and my sweet friend. Two days on the road up and two days back meant Lisa had plenty of time to spend alone with God. It was some amazing time, too! I got to thinking we “city folk” have it completely wrong. We need to head out to the country, the undeveloped areas of our continent, to breathe the clean air, shut off all the social media, and listen to the silence. Most important: look up and look out. Answer: You don’t. I told...

Life's never dull in a house full of poochies. 2014 – How’d I do? December 24, 2014. December 24, 2014. 8220;Everybody has a story”. While I know this, I seem to have lost my voice. Or perhaps what I’ve lost is my focus and I can’t remember my story. Oftentimes my life keeps me running so fast I can’t remember who I am or how I got here. I’m all about setting and meeting goals, preparing and completing “To Do” lists. Our house? While not the showpiece of the neighborhood, it’s tidy. The dogs? I have plen...

Not afraid | Houndini Chronicles

Life's never dull in a house full of poochies. March 1, 2015. March 1, 2015. I spent the better part of the weekend talking about being afraid. This is the part of myself I committed to opening others into that weekend. This was how I approached IF:Gathering last month. I can’t speak for the other two women, but I came away from IF with an assurance that whatever fears I imagine are simply wasted energy. The only one judging me is … me. Our focus for the weekend was on the history of Israel and their cro...

Life's never dull in a house full of poochies. 8220;Don’t wait for a fish to find you”. April 24, 2015. April 24, 2015. I read the above excerpt from Jennie Allen’s book, Restless. A few weeks ago and fell to my knees in absolute awe. Jennie wrote in those few lines the very longing of my heart: to be totally surrendered to God’s will. One prayer I’ve shared previously is for God to use me however He sees fit and for me to be okay with it. Is God good or what? Fast forward to the present:. As if I needed...
