Thursday, January 20, 2011. After reading Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, it was somewhat difficult for me to analyze the novel based on Toni Morrison's ideals of race in literature that she discussed in Playing in the Dark. This was partially because Playing in the Dark caused me so much difficulty/confusion (which was thankfully clarified in our class discussions), but also partly due to the lack of race in Salinger's novel. Jenna's Blog: November 2010

http://jennaluna.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 9, 2010. The Things They Carried. I had minimal understanding of the Vietnam War. Honestly, I still cannot say that I am sufficiently informed of the subject. Sure, I've read some textbook information from US History, and few 'Nam documentaries have crossed my path, but this trifling pre-exposure to the war was nothing compared to the experience I had from reading. The Things They Carried. The Things They Carried. At this point in my life,. The Things They Carried.

Jenna's Blog: Stephen Burn: Beyond the Critic as Cultural Arbiter

Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Stephen Burn: Beyond the Critic as Cultural Arbiter. January 18, 2011 at 4:04 PM. I think your critic had a completely different take than mine did. Its something Ive never thought of, but it probably has a lot of relevance. With technology and the internet being what it is, at home critics are becoming more and more abundant. I know I hate reading an online post from a completely un-credible source. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An end, or a beginning?

Jenna's Blog: oh hey, old sport. . .

http://jennaluna.blogspot.com/2011/01/oh-hey-old-sport.html

Monday, January 3, 2011. Oh hey, old sport. . . As I've read each chapter of. I've come to find that not much happens from page to page. The plot itself is relatively thin, leaving one to wonder how Mr. Fitzgerald has created such a respected novel out of very little story line. The answer lies within his exceptionally descriptive writing style. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An end, or a beginning? Stephen Burn: Beyond the Critic as Cultural Arbite. In the depth of winter, we find within us an invincible summer

In the depth of winter, we find within us an invincible summer. Thursday, March 4, 2010. Snow makes me think. I've seen it happen to other people so many times, and it's all I've ever wanted. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Okay So. I'm feeling the need for change right now. I deserve to be treated with respect, right? I think I am a complete failure at relationships. I don't wanna feel this way again. Sunday, July 12, 2009. At the moment. this is feeling pretty much right. And man I hate cats! It's a little too...

May 6, 2013 · 7:21 pm. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? We often go through life judging ourselves on how many trips around the sun we have taken. “Ahhh I’m almost 30! 8221; “Oh my gosh, I am ‘over the hill! 8221; “Wow, I’m getting OLD! 8221; But what if age didn’t matter, or what if you didn’t know how old you were? Would your life be different? I’m 28 and I definitely don’t feel like it! I watch my friends and how they interact with their children and I wonder if I am ready?

Tuesday, February 10, 2015. A week had passed since that first date/hangout of ours. Lesser than it could have been. (I love you, Micah! Tuesday. Finally a free night with no disaster in its way! It was still pretty rainy, so we decided that Daniel would come to my apartment and we could hang out there. He wanted me to fill him in on all the things I'd heard at Q Nashville. No big deal. Well, people, I'd recommend not. Here's how the evening went:. I walked to the table. Felt like I was rambling. So that...
