Thursday, 31 May 2012. I'm starting to wonder about my crafting, and my love for creating things for my kids. Am I doing it out of need - or because it's something I love to do? I knitted my girls scarves for school. Within 24 hours of completion, both were worn to school and one was missing. Friday, 20 January 2012. This is my WIPs tub. It sits in the loungeroom, beside the couch, unavoidable. It's not a pretty sight. Needles of all shapes and sizes sticking out of it, wool dragging on the floor, overflowing with projects. It contains a number of items. Most of which I'm no longer enjoying working on. As much as I was in a horribly bad mood that day, in the end I ended up in a very good mood as I stopped to enjoy those little things we take for granted, like the smell of a rose or the gentle whisper from our children telling us they loves us. In a spot of screaming and with a stomp of my beautiful boots, I managed to crack a tile on the kitchen floor. See that, I am human and do crazy things like scream. The new broken tile is next to an old broken tile so hopefully it will not be noticed as quickly. What did I learn from all this screaming and stomping?
