The process is exhausting! It will be so fun to have our family over to enjoy it. We have found a home that we have fallen in love with. It is so beautiful. We are going to put an offer on it tomorrow! It has been hard to find the time to post on this blog but please know we are thinking about all of you!

Thinking about reading: July 2008

http://thinkingaboutreading.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

English teacher's musing about books, politics, children, and family. Monday, July 28, 2008. Boyd K Packer, in a speech about art and Latter-day Saints said. I mentioned earlier that the greatest hymns and anthems have not been composed, nor have the greatest illustrations been set down, nor the poems written, nor the paintings finished. When they are produced, who will produce them? Will it be the most talented and the most highly trained among us? I think this is why I love the Twilight Series. 160;Rea...

Thinking about reading: Good grief, how can I be so old?

http://thinkingaboutreading.blogspot.com/2009/11/good-grief-how-can-i-be-so-old.html

English teacher's musing about books, politics, children, and family. Sunday, November 1, 2009. Good grief, how can I be so old? I guess I just hate that my number defines me. There is an expectation that goes along with every age, right? We tell people to, "Act your age! 50 when rounded to the nearest century makes you close to a 100 years old - but on the other hand, youre virtually a newborn if rounding to the nearest millennium. English teacher's musing about books, politics, children, and family. Saturday, January 4, 2014. The state of books, books, books. What is the best way to read a book? Will we always have books? Many of my students don't read at all, unless forced. They clamor to watch the movie, if there is one, of a book or story we are reading. Reading makes them impatient. Will there always be reading? English teacher's musing about books, politics, children, and family. Sunday, March 13, 2011. So here goes a few impolite truths for your reading pleasure:. 1 I am fed up with whiny teenagers and most teenagers fit this category - in and out of my church. Good night! I give a cheery word to every dang teenager I encounter and I get back a lot of grunts and sighs. Get over it teens! Ahhhhhhh what a breath of fresh air. Maybe my new blog title should be, "Ask Linne what she really thinks.".

English teacher's musing about books, politics, children, and family. Friday, January 2, 2009. Where did the time go? Things I am most thankful for. 2 We had such a great Christmas with Katrina and Joseph home, but we missed Natalie, Will, and Fallon sooo. Much and we thought about them everyday. (This year was a Howe family year - note to self, my other children should marry orphans.) Every year our family struggles to find times when we can all be together. GARFFS MISSION: New beginnings and new seasons

http://garffsmission.blogspot.com/2009/05/new-beginnings-and-new-seasons.html

Saturday, May 23, 2009. New beginnings and new seasons. We heard stirring testimonies from a wonderful army of dedicated saints striving to make a difference, just like us! As we left and continued our travels, we tested President Seal's challenge of closing our eyes, opening the Book of Mormon to any unknown page, pointing to any verse, and then opening our eyes to read and expound on the verse before our eyes. Wow! Which we do towards you, too! June 11, 2009 at 6:23 PM. Spring is here the grass begins ...

Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Audrey Elizabeth, you turn three years old! It's hard to believe how fast time flies and how much you have changed. Each year I look at your pictures and think oh my goodness, she's not little Audrey anymore. This year for your birthday, you asked to get your ears pierced. Mommy, Daddy, sisters and Nana took you to sweet and sassy (which describes you perfectly! To get your ears pierced. It was quite a drive but worth it! Jenn & Tonic | With a Twist of Life

With a Twist of Life. The Road to Boston . . . by way of Eugene. Watching the news stunned, I worried about our friends. We had 50 Rogues in Boston and 27 personal friends/teammates that I had been tracking. Were they safe? What about their families? How could someone intentionally do such a thing? We anxiously awaited news that everyone was okay. Finally some good news, they (and their family members) were. For our non-runner friends, the Boston Marathon. In April 2012, I lined up in London.
