Later we found out this is the view that you see in one of the Star Wars movies that shot some scenes here. Temple I and the the Great Plaza. Today from El Remate we visited the Ruins of Tikal which are surrounded by the jungle. It is believed that this Mayan city once had a population of 100,000. Tuesday, July 21, 2009.
