Ramping up Animal Rescue Together. June 22, 2015. Copper, our first “foster failure” (adopted) and second foster animal ever. With some help from a couple very dedicated volunteers, our expenses have been fairly few. One particularly amazing volunteer from Pittsburg regularly donates dog food and kennel shavings, to the point that we have only had to buy 2 bags of dog food in the past two months. Musings of a malcontent. Seattle native, teacher w/out a classroom, bookkeeper, drinker of coffee and red wine, a constant work in progress. It’s a bit odd that these things, pretty unrelated things, could conjur up the memory of that writing class. I don’t think it really means anything, but it’s interesting. End of Year Update. December 12, 2015. We’re close enough to the end of 2015, its time for a total recap! The Rainey family has been busy this year! In January, we purchased a smaller home (much to our liking) with larger property (also to our liking). 973 square feet–not quite the tiny we wanted, but a good step at downsizing! 2 acres of land and at less cost than our last home.
