Saturday, December 21, 2013. So I guess we have some catching up to do! Let's see what's been happening since August. We spent some time swimming at our friend's house while it was still warm out. Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Emma and her teachers. We will miss you all so much! Ben and Melissa James. Two posts in as many days! Can you believe it? Yesterday Emma graduated from preschool! Sunday, July 22, 2012. Our BIG Summer Vacation. In the middle of June the four of us boarded a plane bound for a great adventure! Don't they look excited? We flew 4 hours into Baltimore, Maryland then rented a car, drove an hour to Washington D.C. where we picked up my dad at Dulles airport then drove 3 1/2 hours to Williamsburg, Virginia where we met up with my mom, sister, brother-in-law and 2 nieces. Whew! It was a long day! Ben certainly learned his lesson this day! This warrior couldn't hurt a fly!

Saturday, August 10, 2013. Tuesday was the girls first day back to school! I can't believe how quick Summer went by! Emma is repeating kindergarten this year so she is so very happy to have her same teacher from last year, Mrs. Shelberg. Charis is also happy to have Mrs. Triano for 4th grade! Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Celebration of Learning Night. Last Friday the girls school held their Celebration of Learning night. Charis had a big project due called Wax Museum. She chose Helen Keller for her project. She has been working on writing a paper, a speech, a costume and making this board for the last few months. Saturday, November 24, 2012. It's been awhile since I've posted anything! I'm sorry but hopefully this post will catch you up! For the past few months I've been substitute teaching at the kids school. So far I've only been in kindergarten with Emma's class. Monday, March 18, 2013. She Said, "Yes! On Saturday afternoon Marcus (Ben's little brother) proposed to his girlfriend, McKenna and she said, "Yes! We are so excited to welcome her into our family! Thursday, May 23, 2013. Ben and Melissa James. Last Day of School. Yesterday was the girls last day of school! We are so glad to be on Summer break! Charis is now officially in 4th grade! Emma finished kindergarten. She will be repeating it again next year. We still enjoyed attending her promotion ceremony. They all sang a few songs. Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Christmas Around the World. Charis just completed a really fun project before Christmas break. Each child in her 3rd/4th grade class had to choose a country, write a 5 paragraph paper on that country (one of the paragraphs had to be about their Christmas traditions), prepare a 3 point oral presentation, make a poster and make food from their country.
