Our Change of Art: December 2014
http://ourchangeofart.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Something a bit different. I really slacked off on the Christmas cards this year! I typically make over 100, and this year I'll be lucky if I have more than 10! For this card, I ventured a bit out of my comfort zone. It's for a friend who (I think) would like this style, so I just went for it! The flower is from the new Altenew set, Vintage Roses. I die cut the word "Joy" from glitter paper, and then went to town with "extras" such as a little bag (thanks, Jingle! Yeah, we're weird. I used a loose waterc...

Our Change of Art: April 2015
http://ourchangeofart.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
I adore this gown! The gold looks like flakes of gold leaf, and if you look carefully there are these cool rows of gold studs which trim the bodice and down the seams in the skirt. So cool! My original vision for this card had a black background, but after much hemming and hawing I went ahead with this:. Both stamps are from Altenew. To incorporate gold, I embossed and then watercolored the main image, and I also applied embossing powder to these little adhesive circle things to match. Please visit the o...

Today we have a brand new Runway Inspired Challenge. With an amazing sponsor. Winnie and Walter. Not only are they sponsoring, but they also donated stamps and dies for the team to work with :). This outfit is just SO "J. Crew" to me- preppy, but with some added pizzazz. I love how the sparkly dress looks peeking out from the classy coat! Of course I wanted to incorporate this into my card. I used Winnie and Walter's In a Word: Hi Cutaway. Heather Hoffman - Houses Built of Cards. Gayatri - Handmade by G3.

Our Change of Art: Paintings

In addition to card making, I adore watercolor! If you have any questions, or would like to purchase a print or original of any painting, please email me: ourchangeofart@gmail.com. Note: To view more paintings, hit the arrow icon on the right hand side. The thumbnails crop the paintings, so click to see the full image). Subscribe to: Pos...
