Green Mommy: Local Harvest
http://greenmommythoughts.blogspot.com/2007/09/local-harvest.html
Thursday, September 27, 2007. Most produce in the United States is picked 4 to 7 days before being placed on supermarket shelves, and is shipped for an average of 1500 miles before being sold. That distance is even longer for foods imported internationally. Labels: food and activism. April 16, 2013 at 8:12 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Green Mommy: April 2015

Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Green Mommy Thoughts. 5 years later. Where do I start? Not keeping Green Mommy alive has been a regret of mine. One of the "Green Daddy's" even created an awesome website for us. I've often wondered what could have happened with that site if I'd have been more committed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Green Mommy: March 2007
http://greenmommythoughts.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 31, 2007. Avery received an Easter basket in the mail today. The "grass" inside got me thinking. All that shredded plastic is such a waste (no matter how you look at it). Anyway, for any of you planning to create baskets this year, maybe rafia. Would be a better alternative? It's natural, so I would imagine more biodegradable, too. It would also create a more realistic nest for all those eggs! You Can Post Now! A Whole (Foods) New World. I bought it to see if Jonny would willingly trade i...

Green Mommy: August 2007
http://greenmommythoughts.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 30, 2007. Monday, August 27, 2007. I'm noticing I've hit kind of a green plateau. I've found new places to shop. I've made some lifestyle changes I feel good about. I guess now I'm kind of feeling like I have 2 options. 1 I could decide that the changes I've made are what I set out for and move on. 2 I could decide to push myself to learn more and to continue to make more difficult changes. By the way, I just looked at the date of my first post and It was exactly 6 months ago from today!

Green Mommy: Deciphering "organic" labels
http://greenmommythoughts.blogspot.com/2007/10/deciphering-organic-labels.html
Monday, October 1, 2007. The Press Democrat had an interesting article. Yesterday about how to decipher labels such as "organic", "free-range" and "free-roaming" , "all natural" etc. The article gave a crash course in understanding organic food labels from Consumer Reports. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though. You relied on the video to make your point. You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to. So to catch you up.
